Older houses, older doors
A lot of Delray east of I-95 was built decades before the current wind code, and plenty of those homes still have their original single door and a light-duty opener. Those doors are not unsafe by themselves, but their springs are near the end of their cycle count and their tracks were never meant for the weight of a modern insulated panel. Two blocks from the ocean, everything rusts
Between the beach and the Intracoastal, salt gets into cables, hinges and roller bearings. The usual first sign is noise, then a door that hangs crooked when it closes. Catching a frayed cable in Delray is a short visit; waiting until it snaps usually means a bent track and a door off its rails.
